Our Mission

To empower women and families with children to achieve permanent and stable self-sufficiency by providing individualized case management; nutritious meals; and access to educational, health and career resources; in a safe and secure environment.

Our Story

St. Francis House was first established by Father Baker in Gainesville, Florida in 1980. His objective was to provide the necessities needed to help the impoverished and hungry in his community. Over the years, St. Francis House has adapted to meet the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community.

  • St. Francis House has been at its current location since 1993.
  • Arbor House was acquired by St. Francis House in 2013.
